Met back on song to see off Trebanos

TREBANOS’S first league outing for four weeks in the National Championship ended in a 10-0 defeat at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Will Morris bagged the game’s only try, with Ross Bennett converting as well as adding a penalty.

The win for Met ended a fourgame losing streak and took them back above Ystrad Rhondda and up to second in the table. Trebanos are eighth.

There were two other Championship matches played at the weekend. Narberth closed the gap on third-placed Ystrad Rhondda thanks to a 13-7 victory at Newbridge, while there was a surprise 20-12 win for bottom club Newcastle Emlyn over Rhydyfelin.
