Old nightclub to become flats
Plans for former nightspot revealed
AMBITIOUS plans have been drawn up to transform an eyesore former Llanelli nightclub into 22 new apartments.
The proposed scheme has been put forward for the former Raffles Nightclub in Murray Street to develop it into a sevenstorey building with twobedroom apartments, including two upper-floor penthouses with views towards the estuary.
Under the plan the ground floor of the development is proposed to be available for commercial use.
Clee Tompkinson Francis, who are marketing the scheme, are touting it as “a flagship site for this area” and indicated there would be a “possible option of local authority funding for part of the build.”
The firm describe it as “a unique development opportunity situated in the centre of Llanelli”.
“The development consists of the re-development of the former Raffles Nightclub into a new proposed seven-storey building with 22 two-bedroom apartments (two upperfloor penthouses with excellent views towards the estuary c85-96sqm) and ground floor commercial unit (approx 1890sqm) with parking agreement for the residential flats included.
“The development has great potential and would be unlike any other development seen within this area. Potential for local authority development funding to a significant level subject to conditions and criteria.”
The estate agents are appealing for offers in the region of £150,000 in light of the re-development plan.
