AM will not have a say on road
NEW Deputy Transport Minister Lee Waters has confirmed he will not be involved in the decision about the proposed M4 relief road, of which he has been a critic.
The Llanelli AM said that during the discussion about him becoming Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport it was made clear he will not have a say about whether the scheme should go ahead.
Speaking the day after First Minister Mark Drakeford announced his new cabinet, Mr Waters said: “When I was offered the post, we both agreed that it would inappropriate for me to be involved in the decision around the M4,”
Mr Drakeford will make the final decision on the proposed road.
