BREXIT STAGE RIGHT
THE world premiere of new Brexit-inspired comedy drama The Last Temptation Of Boris Johnson will be held at London’s Park Theatre next year.
It follows a dinner party with assorted guests and the spirits of prime ministers past – Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill and Tony Blair.
Playwright Jonathan Maitland says: “We will be writing the show every night to keep it up to date. It’s a bit scary, sure, but let’s put it in context. The stress I’m feeling isn’t quite on a parr with that being felt by a certain Mrs T May of SW1.” ■ Go to parktheatre.co.uk for further details.
BAKE OFF’S TOKSVIG HEADS OUT ON TOUR
GREAT British Bake Off and QI host Sandi Toksvig is starting 2019 by taking her new one-woman comedy show The National Trevor Tour on the road.
She says expect tall stories, fascinatingly funny facts, really silly jokes, a quick fire Q&A and a quiz, but not tap-dancing, leotards or a forward roll.
