BITE THE BULLEIT
THE best thing about the cold weather is the excuse to enjoy a hot toddy.
This one from Bulleit is a slow sipper entwined with the familiar and delicious taste of the awardwinning whiskey and finished with demerara sugar and lemon.
Fill a glass or mug with boiling water and let stand while the mug warms. Cut a lemon twist and stud it with 4-5 cloves. Throw out the water in the mug and fill with fresh boiling water. Add 1tsp of demerara or fine brown sugar and stir to dissolve. Add lemon and clove garnish, 7ml lemon juice and stir.
Finally, add 40ml Bulleit Rye (£31.95, thewhisky exchange.com) and stir a final time. Cheers!
