Trio’s gar­den­ing talks can act as an in­spi­ra­tion

ON THREE Fri­day lunchtimes in Jan­uary, Grow­ing the Fu­ture at the Na­tional Botanic Gar­den of Wales is host­ing a se­ries of talks starring in­spi­ra­tional women in hor­ti­cul­ture.

This Fri­day, Mi­randa Janatka will give a talk en­ti­tled From Kew Gar­dens to Gar­den­ers’ World – My Life in Hor­ti­cul­ture, in which she will dis­cuss her ca­reer path from train­ing and work­ing at the Royal Botanic Gar­dens, Kew to her cur­rent role as a writer and re­searcher for BBC Gar­den­ers’ World mag­a­zine.

On Fri­day, Jan­uary 18, award­win­ning gar­den de­signer Sarah Price will give a talk en­ti­tled Plants First.

The cu­ra­tor of Tre­borth Botanic Gar­den, Natalie Chivers, com­pletes the trio of in­spi­ra­tional women in hor­ti­cul­ture on Fri­day, Jan­uary 25, with a talk en­ti­tled Tre­borth Botanic Gar­den – Small Gar­den, Big Plans.

Talks start at noon in the gar­den’s Prin­ci­pal­ity House.
