Bike crash victim ‘devoted to family’
THE devastated family of a 35-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash near Swansea earlier this week have described him as a “devoted” father.
Craig Roberts died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a tree in Pontarddulais on Thursday.
Paying tribute, his family said he was “a family man who would do anything for anyone”.
“Well known within the community for his devotion to his family and friends, Craig enjoyed nothing more than going for long walks or watching the latest boxing match.
“A devoted father to Kai, family was a big part of Craig’s life. Craig was a loving partner to Ellisa, son to Julie and Gareth, stepson to Allan, brother to Anthony and Jamie, uncle to Kenzi-Jay, Ashton and Jenson Lee, nephew to his auntie and uncle. Craig was adored by his partner and often referred to Ellisa’s mother, Adele, as his mother-in-law.
“The family are devas- tated by his passing. The memories and good times they experienced with Craig will live on through them.”
South Wales Police were called to the incident on Water Street in Pontarddulais just after 4.30pm on Thursday.
A force spokesman said at the time: “An offroad motorcycle collided with a tree and the rider died as a result of his injuries.”
He confirmed that noone else was involved in the incident.
Officers investigating the fatal crash are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision, or the manner in which the motorcycle was being ridden, to contact them by calling 101, quoting reference 1900003302.
