Saints back in fine style
A FIVEWEEK absence did not hamper Costcutter League division one leaders St Dogmaels as they gained a 2-1 win at Newcastle Emlyn.
The scoreline may suggest a close encounter, but the Teifi Estuary high-flyers were in control for most of the contest as they impressed in all areas, especially in defence where skipper Jason Williams led by example.
A misdirected back pass presented striker Peter Almond with a chance midway through the first half and the front-runner slotted home to put Saints ahead.

In round two of the Central Wales Cup, Llandysul and Ffostrasol made long treks into Powys where both were eliminated by opponents from the Mid Wales League. Llandysul went down 5-0 against Kerry, while Ffostrasol were beaten 3-0 by Hay St Mary’s.
