Court date for armed incident

A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an armed incident in Llanelli last Tuesday.

The incident happened at 2am in Burry Street on March 26 and saw a man arrested by armed police in nearby Marine Street.

Robert Samuel, 27, from Heol Bryngwili, Cross Hands, appeared in Llanelli Magistrates’ Court with his right arm in a cast and sling, where he entered no pleas to four charges: threatening a person with an offensive weapon, affray, making threats to kill and possession of cannabis.

District judge Christopher James sent the case to Swansea Crown Court where Samuel will appear on April 29.

He was remanded in custody until that date.
