Association carnival returns
AFTER missing out last year, the Gorslas Welfare Association will be holding it’s carnival this year on Saturday, June 15.
Expected building work for the new village school at the Welfare Park meant there was no carnival last year.
“There was a lot of disappointment in 2018 when the village carnival was put on hold as the Welfare Park was not expected to be available.
“Although building work has yet to start on the new school, we are going ahead with the carnival this year,” explained Welfare Association chairman, Ellis Davies.
The carnival procession will follow the usual route - along the main road from Heol Cross Hands to Gorslas Square before turning on to Church Road and ending in the Gorslas Industrial Estate.
