Jones max bags victory

AFTER a number of exciting contests, the annual pairs competition in the Cardigan and District Darts League was played down to the final.

The board final at the Red Lion saw Norman Jenkins and Rhys Jones of Tafarn yr Oen overcome championship team-mates Steve Williams and Daniel Noble 2-1, with Jones throwing a maximum in the deciding leg.

At the Lamb Inn, the board final resulted in a 2-1 win for Wayne Jones and Mark Newell of Lamb, who defeated Aarron Williams and Paul Murtagh of Lamb 2-1.

The final is due to be played on Finals Night at the rugby clubhouse on Wednesday, April 24.
