Fam­ily Dance Fes­ti­val will take place on April 18 at noon, 2pm and 4pm out­side Ffwrnes The­atre. It is a free event and will fea­ture pro­fes­sional dance com­pa­nies from around Wales and lo­cal youth groups. There will also be free work­shops af­ter each per­for­mance. (NPT) up­date Lo­cal po­lice are re­mind­ing every­body that car­ry­ing a knife il­le­gally can re­sult in a four-year prison sen­tence for adults and an un­lim­ited fine. Here are the laws around buy­ing and car­ry­ing a knife – in­clud­ing when you’re al­lowed to carry a knife as part of your job. It’s il­le­gal to: sell a knife to any­one un­der 18, carry a knife in pub­lic with­out good rea­son, un­less it has a fold­ing blade with a cut­ting edge three inches long or less carry, buy or sell any type of banned knife, use any knife in a threat­en­ing way (even a le­gal knife).
