British Legion headquarters The Legion building is open for bingo every Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evening, usually at 8pm. Admission 50p. Last bingo books 7.50pm.

Free heritage tours These walking tours start today and every Wednesday morning until September 25 at 10.30am from Cafe Lolfa, Stepney Road. Enquiries to 07946 583110.

Litter pick The Pembrey and Burry Port Grab and Bag volunteer group will be meeting on Friday from 10am to noon at Y Graig by the Farmers Arms Pub, now closed. All equipment is provided but please be sure to bring a pair of gloves. As well as cleaning up our local areas volunteers can also sign up to receive time credits. Burry Port Bowls Club Will be re-opening its green for the start of the summer season on Monday. Season tickets will be for sale from 2pm. All members and new players wishing to join are encouraged to come to the Memorial Park to buy their season ticket. Practice sessions will start immediately. Our first competitive game is on Saturday, April 27. New players will receive training sessions from qualified coaches.
