Ail Gyfle/Sec­ond Chance curry night Sec­ond Chance (Ail Gyfle) will be hold­ing a curry night on Fri­day, May 3, at the Red Lion Ho­tel in Llandy­faelog. Tick­ets are avail­able from any of the Com­mit­tee mem­bers.

Golden wed­ding Cel­e­brat­ing their golden wed­ding this week will be John and Jan­ice Davies of Broad­ford Farm. They are very well known and pop­u­lar mem­bers of the com­mu­nity and very in­volved in vil­lage life. They have two sons who are both mar­ried. Keith, work­ing away at present and David, who has made his life in Aus­tralia. They also have two grand­chil­dren. We, as vil­lagers, wish them a very happy an­niver­sary and a happy fu­ture. Bingo Ses­sions are held at Clwb Rygbi Myny­d­dy­gar­reg ev­ery Wed­nes­day evening at 7pm. Probus Kid­welly Probus hold their April meet­ing on April 24 in the usual con­fer­ence room at the Gwen­l­lian Cen­tre at 10am. New mem­bers wel­come.

Ty Go­lau holds a weekly ses­sion at Myny­d­dy­gar­reg Wel­fare Hall. Ty Go­lau is a group for peo­ple with slight mem­ory prob­lems, Alzheimer’s or de­men­tia type ill­nesses. The ses­sions are from 10.30am to noon ev­ery Wed­nes­day. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude rem­i­nis­cences, themed quizzes, sing-a-longs, mu­sic and move­ment and lots more. Get well Best wishes to get well soon is sent to Derek Gar­rett, who is still a pa­tient at Glang­wili Hospi­tal and to any­one else who is not in the best of health at the mo­ment.

Probus The next Probus meet­ing will be on April 24 – the fourth Wed­nes­day of April – at 10am in the con­fer­ence room at the rear of the Princess Gwen­l­lian Cen­tre. Se­nior Cit­i­zens The Myny­d­dy­gar­reg Se­nior Cit­i­zens over 50s Club held their April meet­ing in Myny­d­dy­gar­reg Hall on Wed­nes­day, April 3. The meet­ing was well at­tended with 28 mem­bers in­clud­ing the of­fi­cers. Chair­woman, Jean Fox, opened the meet­ing. Min­utes of last month’s meet­ing were read by sec­re­tary Regina Mor­gan and they were passed as be­ing cor­rect. Trips were dis­cussed – the first one be­ing a mys­tery trip on May 7. Names to be given to trea­surer, Chris­tine Hughes. Venues of fur­ther trips were dis­cussed and voted upon. A raf­fle was held and won by Dorothy and a game of bingo played and won by Miriam Gre­ville. Birth­day tributes were made and best wishes to mem­bers un­able to be present. Nice to see Anne Moone back after her ac­ci­dent. Thanks to the tea ladies who served tea with bis­cuits. Next
