Scramble on for top event

FOR scrambling enthusiasts, all roads lead to Penparc near Cardigan on Sunday for round one of the Classic MX Wales Motorcycle Scramble featuring top bikers from Wales, England and Scotland.

With more than 130 riders – a record for the event – a large crowd is expected at Crugmore Farm.

Action starts at 11.30am featuring nearly 30 races, with classes including Solo, Timeshock, Sidecar, EVOs and Modern.

A new class has been introduced this year with the 125cc Championship. Already around 40 competitors have entered.

A spokesperson for organisers Teifiside Motor Club Ltd, who are hosting the event for the 25th year, said: “The event has generated tremendous interest from far and wide and we are looking forward to exciting racing.”
