Castle are kicked out
A CLUB has been booted out of the prestigious J Emrys Morgan Cup for including an ineligible player in the semi-final.
Shropshire-based Bishops Castle of the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League claimed a 3-1 win over Aberystwyth League leaders Penparcau to reach the final where they were to meet Costcutter League leaders St Dogmaels.
But soon after the semi-final, the Central Wales Football Association received a complaint that the English club had broken the rules by including a senior player in their line-up, and after an investigation Bishops Castle were disqualified and the final on Good Friday will now involve St Dogmaels and Penparcau.
