Falcons still flying high

KIDWELLY Falcons beat Camford 3-1 in the Carmarthenshire Junior League to stay top of the under-13s B league.

Camford took the lead after 10 minutes following a mistake in the Falcons defence and Euan Connell took full advantage to slot home.

Both midfields cancelled each other out for the rest of the half where Falcons Celt Williams, Harri Sparks and Ethan Williams had a great tussle against Camford’s Marco Esposito and Ryan Jones.

Early in the second half the Falcons drew level from a corner when Jaydon Campbell scored from a tight angle. Falcons pushed on, but a combination of the woodwork and great goalkeeping from Edison Lee kept the scores level.

With 10 minutes to go Campbell scored his second with a lob over the keeper from 20 yards, and with minutes remaining Falcons keeper Ellis Thomas made a fantastic double save from Ralph McGibney. His punt downfield found Andrew Thomas, who crossed for Leo Boucher to tap in.
