WEST END performer, Strictly Come Dancing favourite and television actor Danny Mac, right, is to appear in the UK tour of Amélie The Musical.

He will play daydreamer Nino in the show based on the 2001 Oscarnominated film about an astonishing young woman who improvises small, but extraordinary acts of kindness that bring happiness to those around her. The nationwide tour runs from May 22 until September 21.

A FREAK PEEK AT CULTURES

FRENCH fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s spectacular revue show is to makes its UK premiere.

Fashion Freak Show offers 50 years of pop cultures through the eyes of fashion’s enfant terrible and is currently enjoying an acclaimed run in Paris at the iconic Folies Bergère before transferring to London’s Southbank Centre for 13 performances from July 23. Jean Paul says: “I hope that audiences will enjoy the show as much as I did creating it.”

ALAS, POOR GYLES

BROADCASTER, author, actor and ex-MP Gyles Brandreth is now touring the country with his hit one-man show Break A Leg!

It is his riotous celebration of all things theatrical and it won the Most Popular Show At The Fringe Award in Edinburgh last year.

Break A Leg! A Dictionary Of Theatrical Quotations, compiled by his wife Michele Brown and introduced by Gyles, is published to coincide with the tour and they will be holding a “meet and greet” after each show.
