Youngsters’ winning feeling as raceday enjoys large crowds

AS temperatur­es soared at the Big Easter Sunday Family Raceday at Ffos Las Racecourse, so did the people coming through the gates.

With record attendance figures of approximat­ely 4,200 children and adults, families from far and wide came to enjoy the day of racing action and free Easter fun – and a group of youngsters were chosen to present the last race.

Racecourse ambassador Sean Bowen had a great day with two wins on Statuario and Alf ‘N’ Dor.

Pobbles Bay took the feature race on the card, The Canter Carpet West Wales National Handicap Steeple Chase for jockey Adam Wedge and trainer Evan Williams who both also had success at the 2018 Welsh Champion Hurdle with Silver Streak.
