Nicky-Jay has an Olympic dream af­ter more suc­cess

LLANELLI school­boy Nicky-Jay Evans has set his sights on the 2028 Olympic Games af­ter ad­ding the 2019 Welsh karate ti­tle to the Bri­tish un­der-10s ti­tle he won last year.

Nicky-Jay, who started do­ing karate when he was just four years old, is from Morfa and at­tends Maes y Morfa Pri­mary School.

He trains at Bu­dokan Wales in Fforest­fach, Swansea, un­der 7th Dan Hugh Ruse.

The Welsh cham­pi­onship took place at Sophia Gar­dens in Cardiff last month, and Nicky-Jay will be trav­el­ling to Poland later in the year to com­pete there in an at­tempt to add fur­ther hon­ours to his al­ready im­pres­sive CV.
