I THINK everyone is starting to have at least some concerns about their privacy and security online – particularly when it comes to social networks.
Jumbo is a new app that aims to tackle some of those concerns and give you some peace of mind.
At the moment it works on four services, but aims to add more (as well as an Android version of the app) in the future.
Link it to your Twitter account and it will delete all your tweets that are older than a time limit you set .
The makers say Twitter was never intended to be an archive of conversations, more a place to discuss what’s happening in real time. And don’t worry about losing tweets – Jumbo saves an archive in its app where only you can see.
Jumbo can also scrub your Google search history and your Amazon Alexa voice recordings (which Amazon keeps in the cloud).
Perhaps most useful is the Facebook privacy settings. There are more than 30, and who’s got the time to peruse them all!
Jumbo boils them down to three available options – Weak, Medium, and Strong, and will configure your Facebook setting accordingly. Now’s the time to start taking this stuff seriously, and Jumbo is a great place to start.
