THE Share The Meal app is a fundraising initiative form the United Nations’ World Food Programme – and it aims to give you the easiest route to helping feed malnourished children in some of the world’s poorest nations.
It’s simple – one tap donates 35p to the programme, enough to feed one person for a day.
According to the WFP, more than 100m people are already using the app to help children in places like Palestine, Rohingya, Lebanon and Uttar Pradesh in India.
So far 34m meals have been delivered.
The app also allows you to create a team to raise funds together, and also offers a Share The Meal
filter for photos to encourage you to share them on your social networks and spread the word about the programme.
And when you donate, you are shown exactly where the money is being spent.
