Mixed re­sults for young rugby stars at the Prin­ci­pal­ity

IT was a day young rugby play­ers from West Wales will never for­get – the chance to play at the world fa­mous Prin­ci­pal­ity Sta­dium in Cardiff.

The oc­ca­sion was the fi­nals of the Welsh Schools Rugby Union (WSRU) and WRU youth com­pe­ti­tions, held over two days at the Prin­ci­pal­ity.

The re­sults proved to be a mixed bag for West Wales teams, but all the play­ers achieved some­thing spe­cial in get­ting the op­por­tu­nity to play on the hal­lowed turf.

Ys­gol Bro Dine­fwr beat Ys­gol Cwm Rhymni to win the U18 Boys Plate.

Bro Myrd­din beat Bas­sa­leg School to win the U18 Boys’ Vase.

Aber­dare Com­mu­nity School beat Co­leg Sir Gar in a very close U18 Boys’ Cup Fi­nal.

Swansea Val­ley Schools beat Car­marthen Schools in Mor­gan Grif­fiths Plate Fi­nal.
