Clwb Hamdden Leisure club members meet next Tuesday from 6.30pm in the Bancffosfelen and Crwbin Hall. New members welcome.

Crwbin Silver Band Rehearsals each Tuesday 7pm to 9pm and each Sunday 6pm to 8pm in the Crwbin Band Room.

Tai chi classes Chinese methods of gentle exercises are held at the Nantyglo Complex on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 2pm. Next session tomorrow. All abilities welcome, including exercises performed in a seated position. Residents £3, non-residents £4 or one time credit (to a limit of six places). There are two this year – The decline in local bus services and Don’t Fear the Smear to encourage more women, particularly younger ones to have regular smear tests. After a discussion, the first resolution received one vote and the second 27 votes. Due to the Resolutions there was no speaker. However the ladies enjoyed a karaoke sing-along for the rest of the evening. The evening’s competition winners for the most words out of the word resolution were Stephanie, first, and Pat D, second. Hazel took the 100 Club and the lucky raffle winners were Marion, Ruth, Pam H, Joan D, Lynda and Mavis. The next meeting will be at 6.15pm on Wednesday, June 5 at Bryn Hall when John Bilsborough will be entertaining with his poetry. New members are always welcome.
