CASM meets ev­ery Tues­day from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at St Barnabus Hall, Llewellyn Street, Llanelli. We are a con­fi­den­tial ser­vice, we can of­fer sup­port and coun­selling for the carer, we can also meet up out­side of group meet­ings for an in­for­mal chat. CASM is an in­de­pen­dent or­gan­i­sa­tion based in Llanelli, a vol­un­teer-led group ded­i­cated to sup­port­ing those who care for a loved one who suf­fers from al­co­holism or drug ad­dic­tion. We have all had ex­pe­ri­ence of liv­ing with and car­ing for some­one in ad­dic­tion, we’ve all been there and have a wealth of knowl­edge of how to cope, for more de­tails please ring Sarah, our chair­per­son on 07805 326063.

Llanelli U3A To­day, boules group meets at Pavil­ion Fields, Pwll, at 10.15am and the monthly lec­ture will be held in the Felin­foel Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre at 2pm. The sub­ject is “Liv­ing on Air” and our speaker is Daloni Rees (please bring your own cup). Mon­day, walk­ing group. This is our blue­bell walk in Llan­rhid­ian and Com­mon Wood. Meet at car park at 10.15am. Tues­day, dis­cus­sion group meets in Llan­erch Com­mu­nity Cen­tre at 2pm. Wed­nes­day, May 15, craft group, meets in Felin­foel Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre at 2pm and the theatre group is go­ing to see an Agatha Christie

play at Ffwrnes Theatre at 7pm. Thurs­day, May 16, clas­si­cal mu­sic ap­pre­ci­a­tion group meets at Peter’s home at 2pm. Mon­day, May 20, book group meets at Caroline’s home at 11am – the group is read­ing The Ac­ci­den­tal Stalker by Mary Powles, the snooker group meets at Terry Grif­fiths’ snooker hall at 10.15am for 10.30am, and the ta­ble tennis group meets in the leisure cen­tre at 3pm. Tues­day, May 21, cy­cle group meets at 10.30am and will be rid­ing from Llanelli to Burry Port, also the short walk group will visit Dine­fwr Coun­try Park, Llan­deilo. Meet at 10.30am (group book­ing re­duced en­try fee – state U3A). Wed­nes­day, May 22, break­fast club meets at Fresz Café from 8.30am to 10am. Thurs­day, May 23, quiz groups Univer­sity Chal­lenge meets at Ju­lia’s home at 2pm and Agatha Quizties meet in Llan­erch Com­mu­nity Cen­tre at 2pm. Fri­day, May 24, play read­ing group meets at Ju­lia’s home at 2pm. Crafty Se­niors in­vite all lo­cal knit­ters, those who cro­chet, sew or are in any way crafty to come along to Ffwrnes Theatre at 11.30am to­day. All lev­els of skills and age wel­come.

Llanelli Hospi­tal League of Friends will meet this evening in the hospi­tal’s board room at 7pm. Llanelli Flo­ral Art So­ci­ety will hold a flo­ral de­sign club work­shop in the Catholic Church Hall, Waun­lanyra­fon, at 7pm this evening.

Sta­tion Men’s Shed Meets ev­ery Fri­day and Satur­day, from 10am to 2pm on Great Western Ter­race, next to the north side of Llanelli Rail Sta­tion. The ‘shed’ is where like-minded men who want to share their prac­ti­cal skills, learn new ex­per­tise and ex­plore their tal­ents and in­ter­ests and so­cialise in a stress-free en­vi­ron­ment. Advice surgery Lo­cal AM Lee Wa­ters will hold a pub­lic advice surgery from 2pm to 3.30pm in Mor­risons cafe, Parc Pem­ber­ton, on Fri­day. The surgery will be an op­por­tu­nity for Llanelli con­stituents to raise any par­tic­u­lar con­cerns or is­sues with Mr Wa­ters and he will be able to take them up on their be­half.
