Trostre dump/recycling centre Residency checks are being carried out, so you will need to have one of the following with you to show to the attendant at the site entrance: driving licence, your current council tax bill, a utility bill (no older than three months).
Swiss Valley School had an Estyn inspection last month. Both teaching and non-teaching staff worked extremely hard to prepare for it. We should know the outcome by the end of this month.
Youth Club Celebrating 10 years this year Swiss Valley Youth Club is open every Friday during term time from 6.30pm. We have Xbox, Wii, table football, table tennis, wifi, plus a tuck shop with great discounted prices. Swiss Valley Residents Association Next meeting is in the Tafarn-y-Felin pub on Tuesday, May 21 – 7pm. New members welcome. Benches at top of ravine One of the benches at the top of the ravine is going to be removed due to rotten wood. There are no plans to replace it at this stage.
Horse droppings If you see horse mess in the road please contact Carmarthenshire Council on 01267 234567, who will send out a road cleansing team to clean it up. Defibrillator Councillor Giles Morgan has made a donation of £600 to Swiss Valley School in order to put a defibrillator on the outside of the school gates for use by both the school and local community. Solutions are currently being looked at.
