This is a group for per­sons with memory prob­lems and ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude rem­i­nis­cences, themed quizzes, sing-alongs, mu­sic and move­ment and lots more. Ail Gyfle A re­cent pre­sen­ta­tion of a cheque for £4,500 was made by Mr and Mrs Mansel Thomas on be­half of Ail Gyfle to Baba Gana, con­sul­tant urol­o­gist at Glang­wili Hos­pi­tal to­wards fund­ing an ad­vanced scan­ner in di­ag­nos­ing pro­static and re­nal can­cers. The to­tal amount do­nated by Ail Gyfle to this unit now stands at £12,000. A fur­ther cheque for £4,500 was pre­sented to con­sul­tant Sarah Hem­ing­ton-Gorse and Jeremy Yar­row, con­sul­tant plas­tic and re­con­struc­tive sur­geon at the Welsh Cen­tre for Burns and Plas­tic Surgery Unit at Mor­ris­ton Hos­pi­tal to as­sist in the fund­ing for a new op­er­at­ing the­atre. The to­tal amount do­nated to this spe­cific unit over the past five years is £7,500. The pre­sen­ta­tion, on be­half of the com­mit­tee, was made by Chair­man Mr Ieuan Hughes ac­com­pa­nied by Gethin Davies. Thanks to ev­ery­one who is and was in­volved in this fundrais­ing and, to date, £84,755 has been di­vided be­tween var­i­ous can­cer treat­ment cen­tres in South and West Wales. Di­olch i bawb.
