Rotary Club president Alison Evans led club members on another community exercise to mark Blood Pressure Awareness week.

Medical staff led by rotary vice-president Dr Kevin Jones were on hand at the St Elli Centre, Llanelli, to carry out free blood pressure checks for members of the public.

Rotarians joined in the day by handing out blood pressure awareness leaflets to members of the public.

President Alison said: “It was a very busy day and people were delighted to be given a chance to check their blood pressure.

“You read so much today about strokes and blood pressure problems, so it is always adviseable to get these things checked out.

“Hopefully, our work will go some small way towards keeping our community fit and healthy.”
