Senior doctor to face retrial over stalking charge

A SENIOR doctor is to face a retrial over allegations that he stalked a woman following the ending of their relationship.

A jury at Swansea Crown Court was discharged after being unable to reach a verdict in the case of ex-Singleton Hospital gynaecologist registrar Gary Lucitt.

Yesterday the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed it would seek a retrial in the case, and a date of July 29 was set.

Lucitt, 39, from Regalia Terrace, Llanelli, was remanded into custody.
