Silent fire­works fun day On Sun­day from 2pm to 6pm in Nep­tune Square. There will be lots of stalls, face paint­ing, live mu­sic, glit­ter tat­toos, tombola, a raf­fle and more. Free en­try. This is a fundraiser for a silent fire­works dis­play on Novem­ber 1 so you can see what they are like.Please come and sup­port us.

Bri­tish Le­gion head­quar­ters The Le­gion build­ing is open for bingo ev­ery Mon­day to Thurs­day, Satur­day and Sun­day evening. Usu­ally at 8pm. Ad­mis­sion 50p. Last bingo books 7.50pm.

Lit­ter pick The Pem­brey and Burry Port Grab and Bag vol­un­teer group will be meet­ing at Burry Port Canal at Bryny­mor Road on Friday from 10am to noon. All equip­ment is pro­vided but please be sure to bring a pair of gloves. As well as clean­ing up our lo­cal ar­eas volunteers can also sign up to re­ceive time cred­its. Spring fayre cof­fee evening The ladies’ fundrais­ing sec­tion of Burry Port Male Choir are hold­ing their usual spring fayre on Friday at 6.30pm in the Me­mo­rial Hall, Parc y Mi­nos Street, Burry Port. Stalls in­clude homemade cakes, jew­ellery, bric-a-brac, toys, books, toi­letries, ac­ces­sories, tombola, new items and more plus raf­fles. En­trance of £2 in­cludes tea, cof­fee or squash plus the added at­trac­tion of in­for­mal en­ter­tain­ment by the Burry Port Male Choir. All prof­its to help the choir, which is a reg­is­tered char­ity. Fam­ily fun walk On Sun­day at 2pm the Pem­brey and Burry Port Friends of Ten­ovus Cancer Care in part­ner­ship with Pem­brey and Burry Port Town Coun­cil are hold­ing their first fam­ily fun walk. Fancy dress op­tional and a prize for the best-dressed adult and child. The walk is from Burry Port Har­bour to the Pavil­ion cafe, Pwll, and re­turn. Reg­is­tra­tion from 1pm. Adult £5, child £2, fam­ily ticket £12 for two adults and two chil­dren. Singing For the Soul This is on the first and third Wed­nes­day of the month from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in Jerusalem Chapel Vestry. All are wel­come. Group singing has a host of ben­e­fits like im­prov­ing breathing, pos­ture, mental health, con­fi­dence and self es­teem. No ex­pe­ri­ence nec­es­sary.
