PONTARDDULAIS were eightwicket winners over Bridgend Town at Ffosyrefail in the South Wales Premier League.

They lie second in the early table, just eight points back on leaders Port Talbot Town.

An undefeated 82 from Gary Arrowsmith led them home.

Bridgend were all out for 154, with Alex Jones scoring 46. Owen Morgan and Iestyn Rees both claimed three wickets.

Pontarddulais never looked in any danger as they coasted to victory with almost 17 overs to spare. Opener Paul Rees made 37, with skipper Cameron Herring there with Arrowsmith at the death. Jack Davies took both wickets to fall.
