Evans lands Magpies job
COSTCUTTER Football League club Cardigan Town have appointed talented midfielder James Evans as their new player-manager.
The 34-year-old was an everpresent in the all-conquering Town side in 2014-15 and has also had spells with Goodwick United in the Pembrokeshire League and Newcastle Emlyn in the Welsh League.
He said his main priority over the next few weeks would be to reestablish a reserve team and also hold summer training sessions to keep up fitness levels.
“There are a lot of promising youngsters at the club and I believe it is important to have a second team so that young players can come through,” he said.
Evans said old and new players would be made welcome and urged youngsters to get involved.
