Angus bags awards double

AN Australian-born physiotherapist scooped the top awards at Cardigan Football Club’s annual dinner.

A number of outstanding performances in his first season with the Magpies earned midfielder Angus Reckford the player of the year award and he was also voted players’ player of the year.

Central midfielder Josh Mellor took the young player of the year award, while the top goalscorer was frontrunner Owen Williams.
