Llanelli U3A Today, Breakfast Club meets at Fresz Café from 8.30am to 10am. Tomorrow, Quiz Group University Challenge meets in Julia’s home at 2pm but Agatha Quizties Quiz Group that normally meets in Llanerch Community Centre is cancelled due to elections. Friday, Play Reading Group meets in Julia’s home at 2pm. Sunday, Sunday Lunch Group meets in Rev James Public House, 180 Borough Road, Loughor, at 12.30pm (please give your name to Rhuddwen if you want to join the group for lunch. Our June programme begins on Monday, June 3, Snooker Group meets in Terry Griffiths’ snooker hall at 10.15am for 10.30am followed at 3pm by our Table Tennis Group which meets at the Leisure Centre. Tuesday, June 4, coffee morning held in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 10.30am (please bring your own cup). Wednesday, June 5, Board Games, held in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 2pm. Friday, June 7, Light-hearted Look at History Group meets in Llanerch Community Centre at 2pm. The subject is “Tinopolis”. Monday, June 10, Walking Groups. This walk will be “A Waterfall Walk” starting from the Angel Inn, Pontneddfe­chan, near Glynneath. Meet at the Angel Inn by 10.15am. Tuesday, June 11, Garden Group will visit Cae Hir Garden, Cribyn, Lampeter. Meet here at 10.30am, and our Discussion Group meets in Llanerch Community Centre at 2pm. Wednesday, June 12, Boules Group meets at the Pavilion Field, Pwll, at 10.15am and the Monthly Lecture meets in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 2pm. CASM group meets every Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at St Barnabus Hall, Llewellyn Street, Llanelli.We are a confidenti­al service, we can offer support and counsellin­g for the carer, we can also meet up outside

of group meetings for an informal chat. CASM is an independen­t organisati­on based in Llanelli, a volunteer-led group dedicated to supporting those who care for a loved one who suffers from alcoholism or drug addiction. We have all had experience of living with and caring for someone in addiction, we’ve all been there and have a wealth of knowledge of how to cope, for more details please ring Sarah, our chairperso­n, on 07805 326063.

Pre-school Storytime is held every Wednesday from 10.15am to 11.15am at Llanelli Children’s Library. Today’s topic is elephant stories.

Station Men’s Shed Meets every Friday and Saturday, from 10am to 2pm on Great Western Terrace, next to the north side of Llanelli Rail Station. The ‘shed’ is where like-minded men who want to share their practical skills, learn new expertise and explore their talents and interests and socialise in a stress-free environmen­t.
