Llanelli U3A Monday, Snooker Group meets in Terry Griffiths’ snooker hall at 10.15am for 10.30am followed at 3pm by our Table Tennis Group which meets at the Leisure Centre. Tuesday, coffee morning held in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 10.30am (please bring your own cup). Wednesday, June 5, Board Games in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 2pm. Friday, June 7, Light-hearted Look at History Group meets in Llanerch Community Centre at 2pm. The subject is Tinopolis. Monday, June 10, Walking Groups. This walk will be “A Waterfall Walk” starting from the Angel Inn, Pontneddfechan, near Glynneath. Meet at the Angel Inn by 10.15am. Tuesday, June 11, Garden Group will visit Cae Hir Garden, Cribyn, Lampeter. Meet here at 10.30am and our Discussion Group meets in Llanerch Community Centre at 2pm. Wednesday, June 12, Boules Group meets at the Pavilion Field, Pwll, at 10.15am and the Monthly Lecture meets in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 2pm. John Wynne will be speaking on “Hopkins – Work of an artist”. Monday, June 17, Snooker Group meets in Terry Griffiths’ snooker hall at 10.15am for 10.30am; Book Group meets in Caroline’s home at 11am and the Table Tennis Group meets in the Leisure Centre at 3pm. Tuesday, June 18, Cycling Group meets at 10.30am and will be cycling from Dunvant to Blackpill, Swansea. The Short Walk Group will walk around Pembrey Harbour. Meet in car park at 10.30am. Wednesday, June 19, Craft Group meets in Felinfoel Community Resource Centre at 2pm. Thursday, June 20, Classical Music Appreciation Group meets in Peter Chin’s home at 2pm. Friday, June 21, “Scribblers and Scripts” creative writing group meets in Caroline’s home at 10.30am. CASM group meets every Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at St Barnabus Hall, Llewellyn Street, Llanelli. We are a
confidential service, we can offer support and counselling for the carer, we can also meet up outside of group meetings for an informal chat. CASM is an independent organisation based in Llanelli, a volunteer-led group dedicated to supporting those who care for a loved one who suffers from alcoholism or drug addiction. We have all had experience of living with and caring for someone in addiction, we’ve all been there and have a wealth of knowledge of how to cope, for more details please ring Sarah, our chairperson, on 07805 326063.

Ty Golau is a health and well-being group for people with memory problems/Alzheimer’stype illnesses that meets every Thursday from 10.30am to noon at Antioch Centre, Copperworks Road. Activities include reminiscence therapy, themed quizzes, sing-a-longs, simple cookery and much, much more. Why not go along, keep your brain active and have some fun? Shed Meets every Friday and Saturday, from 10am to 2pm on Great Western Terrace, next to the north side of Llanelli Rail Station. The ‘shed’ is where like-minded men who want to share their practical skills, learn new expertise and explore their talents and interests and socialise in a stress-free environment. Ramps skatepark will hold a skateboard-only night for over-18s from 8pm on Friday to 1am on Saturday. Craft fair will be held on Saturday from 10am to 2pm at Lliedi Suite, Selwyn Samuel Centre, with free entry. Tables £10 each with fees and raffle proceeds goin to Tenovus Cancer Care. Llanelli Torch Fellowship Group (for sight-impaired people) will meet at 2.30pm in Emmanuel Baptist Chapel, New Dock Road, on Saturday. This is an opportunity to join with friends in a relaxed manner. There will be a speaker, some hymn singing, a Bible reading, some prayers and
conlcuding with a great afternoon tea.
