Autism training session
LLANELLI MP Nia Griffith recently attended the National Autistic Society’s first ever autism awareness training session for MPs.
Ms Griffith was one of 82 MPs who attended one of the Understanding Autism sessions in order to learn more about autism and how to support autistic constituents. The sessions were run by National Autistic Society staff, some of whom are autistic.
Ms Griffith said: “The training session was very informative and certainly gave me better insight into the challenges that having autism can bring. I will be mindful of the advice I received about interacting with and supporting autistic constituents.”
