Racers to kick-off carnival

THE arrival of the OVO National Women’s Cycle Race will help signal the start of a popular Carmarthenshire carnival.

The 2019 Gorslas Carnival will start once the racers have passed through the village on Saturday, June 15.

Riders are expected in Gorslas from around 12.30pm. Once the race has passed, the carnival floats will leave Church Road and travel towards the Gwernllwyn Nursing Home where the procession will start, from around 2pm, ending in Gorslas Industrial Estate.

The presentation to float winners will take place around 3pm, with family entertainment starting around 3.30pm at Tafarn y Phoenix.
