Win keeps Llandysul in third place

LLANDYSUL claimed a 16-run at Llangennech to maintain third spot in division one of the South Wales Cricket Association.

In the Llangennech reply, openers Scott Lloyd and Stuart Goddard departed without bothering the scorer.

Jonny Taube at first wicket down held things together in making 29 but wickets fell regularly and the innings closed on 99.

Medium-pacer Ashleigh Cox and spinner Rhydian Harris returned identical figures of 3-9 in 10 overs.

Llandydul entertain Tata Steel,who are fourth in the table, on Saturday.

Llandysul Seconds are joint top of division five with Skewen Seconds after an eight-wicket win over basement boys Baglan Seconds at Tir-Dref.

The visitors were bowled out for 136 and the Teifi Valley highflyers knocked off the required runs for the loss of two wickets to bank 17 points.
