Llyr makes a fine debut

FOURTEEN members of Taf Running and Orienteering completed Sarn Helen’s Talley 5k race.

New member Llyr Roberts was seventh overall in 18 minutes 50 seconds, 10 places ahead of 18-year-old Luke Evans, who clocked a personal best 19.31. Nick Merrony was the third TROTS runner over the line, winning the M50 category in 27th and clocking 20.03. In 38th was Mary Anthony who won the F55 category.

Keith Powell was 67th, Mair Morgan 75th, Mike Terry 81st, Marian Davies 95th, Margaret Powell 121st, Jayne Evans 122nd, Miranda Bowen 129th, Meleri Campbell 130th, Irene Davies-Jones 136th and Glyn Anthony 145th.

Marathon runner Julian Lewis continued a busy schedule, completing the Edinburgh Marathon in three hours 48 minutes, while in Nepal, Adrian Tyrell and Marion Tuck both completed the Everest Marathon.
