Woman seriously injured

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Llanelli.

The incident happened shortly after 3pm on Saturday in Trostre Road, on the outskirts of Llanelli.

The woman was crossing the road between ATS Euromaster and New Dock Stars RFC when she was knocked over.

Police have not confirmed the age of the pedestrian, but did confirm that she suffered “serious injuries” and was taken to hospital.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The incident involved a Silver Peugeot 207 and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries.”
