Llanelli U3A To­day, the boules group meet at the Pavil­ion Field, Pwll at 10.15am and the monthly lec­ture is in Felin­foel Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre at 2pm. John Wynne Hop­kins will be speak­ing on Hop­kins – Work of an artist? Mon­day, the snooker group meet in Terry Grif­fiths Snooker Hall at 10.15am for 10.30am, the book group are read­ing Ev­ery­thing I Never Told You by Ce­leste Ng and meet in Caroline’s home at 11am and the ta­ble ten­nis group meet in the leisure cen­tre at 3pm. Tues­day, the cy­cling group meet at 10.30am and will be cy­cling from Dun­vant to Black­pill, Swansea. The short walk group will walk around Pem­brey Har­bour. Meet in Car Park at 10.30am. CASM is an in­de­pen­dent or­gan­i­sa­tion based in Llanelli, a vol­un­teer-led group ded­i­cated to sup­port­ing those who care for a loved one who suf­fers from al­co­holism or drug ad­dic­tion. An­gela of Goldies Cymru in­vites ev­ery­one to go along to Ffwrnes Theatre foyer this af­ter­noon from 2pm to 3pm for an hour of fun and laugh­ter. Llanelli Hos­pi­tal League of Friends will meet this evening at 67pm in the hos­pi­tal’s board­room op­po­site the restau­rant to make fi­nal ar­range­ments for a strawberry tea on July 6. Llanelli Flo­ral Art will hold a sum­mer open evening with Alexander Pike en­ti­tled Glitz and Glam­our at 7pm in the Catholic Church Hall, Waun­lanyra­fon, this evening.

Llanelli Sta­tion Men’s Shed Meets ev­ery Fri­day and Satur­day, from 10am to 2pm on Great West­ern Ter­race, next to the north side of Llanelli Rail Sta­tion. The ‘shed’ is where like-minded men who want to share their prac­ti­cal skills, learn new ex­per­tise and ex­plore their tal­ents and in­ter­ests and so­cialise in a stress-free en­vi­ron­ment. Fourth an­nual Llanelli Sin­gathon was held ear­lier this month in St Elli Cen­tre to raise funds for Ten­ovus Can­cer Care. Tak­ing part were Car­marthen Ukele­les, Ten­ovus Choir, (Llanelli and Car­marthen) Hos­pi­tal Notes, soloists Abi Thomas, Marc An­gel and Den­nis Len­nox, Vo­cal Har­mony and Sil­ver Swing with MC Steve Eldridge. They all gave their time for free to help fundrais­ing.
