Nant’s award
NANTGAREDIG have been named men’s rugby team of the year by the All Wales Sport website.
Nant stormed to the Three West B title, winning all 22 matches and sealing the crown by 25 points from nearest challengers Amman United.
They also reached the semifinals of the WRU National Bowl, conceding a late score to lose a thriller against Abergavenny.
The recipients will be presented with the awards in the presence of invited guests at the Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl on Thursday, July 11.
Llanelli Warriors RFC will receive a special recognition award for the promotion of social inclusion in sport.
John Thomas (Ammanford AFC) will receive an award for services to football, Glyndwr Evans (Aberaeron RFC) for services to rugby and Sara Phillips (Llanelli CC) for achievements in cricket.
