Singing For the Soul The next one is to­day and they are held on the first and third Wed­nes­day of the month from 2.30pm and 4.30pm in Jerusalem Chapel vestry. Group singing has a host of ben­e­fits like im­prov­ing breath­ing, pos­ture, men­tal health, con­fi­dence and self-es­teem. No ex­pe­ri­ence nec­es­sary. Vin­tage day The An­i­mal Life­line Wales char­ity shop (next to the vets) is hold­ing a vin­tage day on Satur­day from 9.30am to 4pm. On sale will be vin­tage and vin­tagestyle clothes and ac­ces­sories, jew­ellery, linens, records, books and bric-a-brac.All pro­ceeds to the reg­is­tered an­i­mal char­ity. Lit­ter pick The Pem­brey and Burry Port Grab and Bag vol­un­teer group will be meet­ing at the rugby club area op­po­site the club­house on Fri­day, June 28 from 10am to noon. All equip­ment is pro­vided but please be sure to bring a pair of gloves. As well as clean­ing up our lo­cal ar­eas vol­un­teers can also sign up to re­ceive time cred­its. Car boot sales Th­ese con­tinue ev­ery Satur­day, weather per­mit­ting, at the har­bour field, Burry Port, at £6 per car, vans, cars with trail­ers, camper­van and peo­ple car­rier size cost £9. Large vans and trade sell­ers are £16. No more than two ta­bles or ad­di­tional ta­bles are £2 each. No reser­va­tion of pitches as they are on a first come first served ba­sis. Please do not set up or ar­rive be­fore 7am for the ben­e­fit of vol­un­teers and nearby houses. Please re­move all un­sold items and lit­ter be­fore you leave.
