Impressive Llan storm clear at top
LLANGENNECH have taken a commanding lead at the top of the All Wales Sport Midweek League.
They are now 31 points clear of the field after they were successful in the only game played last week as the fixture schedule was ruined by the weather.
Llangennech claimed a ninewicket win against Llanelli at Stradey Park. They successfully chased the home side’s total of 117-7 off 20 overs, with James Taube smashing six consecutive sixes in a brilliant 89.
His knock included nine maximums as Llangennech reached their target in just nine overs.
For Llanelli, Ellis Richards made 59. He struck three sixes and six boundaries and he received good support from Morgan Jones, who hit four fours in an innings of 29.
Llangennech’s Jack Williams returned figures of 3-34.
