Share your thoughts on new health and well­be­ing cen­tre

RES­I­DENTS in the Gwen­draeth Val­ley are in­vited to take part in three pub­lic drop-in events to share their thoughts on the Hy­wel Dda Univer­sity Health Board’s plans for a new health and well­be­ing cen­tre at Cross Hands.

As part of the health board’s com­mit­ment to con­tin­u­ous en­gage­ment with lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties, res­i­dents will have the op­por­tu­nity to speak with health of­fi­cials on the fol­low­ing dates:

■ Peny­groes Memo­rial Hall, Water­loo Road, Peny­groes SA14 7NP/ 4pm-6pm on Tues­day, July 2;

■ Tum­ble Hall, Heol Y Neuadd, Tum­ble SA14 7DJ/4pm-6pm on Mon­day, July 8;

■ Cross Hands Work­ing Mens’ Club, 41 Llan­deilo Road, Cross Hands SA14 6RD/4pm-6pm on Tues­day, July 9.

Rhian Daw­son, in­terim county direc­tor and com­mis­sioner for Car­marthen­shire, said: “Fol­low­ing a num­ber of sim­i­lar dis­cus­sions Gwen­draeth Val­ley res­i­dents have told us that they would like fur­ther op­por­tu­ni­ties to talk about our plans for lo­cal health and care pro­vi­sion and to see our de­signs for the new Cross Hands Health and Well­be­ing Cen­tre.

“We are pleased to in­vite any­one who would like to drop in at one of th­ese three events and speak about the health­care is­sues that mat­ter the most to them. We will con­tinue to reach out to peo­ple in­clud­ing our staff, pa­tients, stake­hold­ers, and the or­gan­i­sa­tions we work with in line with our com­mit­ment to con­tin­u­ous en­gage­ment.”

Fur­ther events will be held across each of the health board’s three coun­ties soon to con­tin­u­ously en­gage with the pop­u­la­tion.
