Station Men’s Shed Meets every Friday and Saturday, from 10am to 2pm on Great Western Terrace, next to the north side of Llanelli Rail Station. The ‘shed’ is where like-minded men who want to share their practical skills, learn new expertise and explore their talents and interests and socialise in a stress-free environment. Fifty-four acres of pasture, woodland and a natural lake. Participants meet on the roadside beyond the railway bridge just past the entrance to Llanelli and Mynyddmawr Heritage Railway site, SW495073 at 2pm. Non-members welcome. UV disco ‘The biggest UV party in South Wales’ will be held on Sunday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, for school years 1 to 6 at the Selwyn Samuel Centre, entry £3. League of Friends, Prince Philip Hospital invites you to a summertime strawberry tea on Saturday, July 6, at 3pm in the hospital’s restaurant. Tickets £5, includes cake and sandwiches , tea and coffee, entertainment and raffle. All proceeds in support of Prince Philip Hospital.
Armed Forces Day will be held on Saturday. The parade will muster at Ffwrnes Theatre at 10.45am and march off at 11am through the town to Spring Gardens where a drumhead service will be held. Various items from the Armed Forces will be on display and a number of well-known people will be attending including MP Nia Griffith and former TV newsreader Sara Edwards, now Lord Lieutenant for Carmarthenshire.
