League of Friends, Prince Philip Hospital invites you to a summertime strawberry tea on Saturday, July 6, at 3pm in the hospital’s restaurant. Tickets £5, includes cake and sandwiches , tea and coffee, entertainm­ent and raffle. All proceeds in support of Prince Philip Hospital.

Armed Forces Day will be held on Saturday. The parade will muster at Ffwrnes Theatre at 10.45am and march off at 11am through the town to Spring Gardens where a drumhead service will be held. Various items from the Armed Forces will be on display and a number of well-known people will be attending including MP Nia Griffith and former TV newsreader Sara Edwards, now Lord Lieutenant for Carmarthen­shire.
