Trampoline club members scale heights at British finals
USK Valley Trampoline Club members enjoyed great success at the British Team Finals in Birmingham where the club squad of Evie McLoughlin, Evie Forrest, Michael Trott and Millie Forrest travelled as part of the Welsh team.
All four had previously qualified for the event by becoming the best in Wales in their individual age and ability groups via previous qualifying rounds where they had to score highly on both trampoline and floor and where only the top two are chosen.
The Welsh team then competed against the best of other regions from all over Britain in the British finals.
Two of these Usk Valley members now go through to the final round of the series as individual finalists in the British NDP Finals — Evie Forrest (11/12 years), who won her group, and Michael Trott (13-plus years), who finished in third place. Michael Trott, Evie Forrest and Callum McIlvenna.
The final round will be held in Coventry next month.
Usk Valley Trampoline Club holds sessions at Carmarthen Leisure Centre on Fridays, though there are limited spaces. All enquiries should go to the club’s senior coach on 07952 584240.
