Blood biker celebrates second anniversary

-

MOTORCYCLIST Paul Napier has celebrated his second anniversary as a volunteer biker for Blood Bikes Wales.

Paul is the retail branch manager at Llanelli’s webuyanycar.com

To mark the occasion, staff from the webuyanycar.com Llanelli branch, along with Paul’s fellow Blood Bike Wales volunteer Peter Moule, attended an event to mark the milestone.

Paul started volunteering for Blood Bikes Wales in June 2017, after the charity helped to save his sister-in-law’s life by delivering blood to a hospital where she was being treated. A keen biker, Paul saw an opportunity to give back to the charity that had given so much to his family, whilst also being able to help others in need.

Since starting as a volunteer for the charity, Paul has volunteered many hours, delivering vital supplies to hospitals across Wales, mainly supporting hospitals in Swansea and Carmarthenshire.

Run solely by volunteers, Blood Bikes Wales operates all across the country.

They work to support the NHS, completely free of charge, in delivering supplies in one of the quickest ways possible.

Richard Evans, head of technical services at webuyanycar.com said: “Blood Bikes Wales is an incredible charity and we’re immensely proud of Paul and the brilliant work he does to support both the charity and the community.
