A MAN has appeared in court following the alleged murder of a 47-year-old in Llanelli.
Justin Ravenhill, of Gwendoline Street, Aberavon, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with the murder of Andre Irwin. No pleas were entered. Ravenhill, 42, was arrested on Saturday after an incident on Coleshill Terrace in Llanelli.
Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything along or near Coleshill Terrace between 1am and 4am on Saturday to come forward.
The victim’s family, meanwhile, have paid tribute to a “brilliant role model”. The family said: “We are devastated at the sudden and tragic loss of a brilliant father, son, grandfather and fiancé. Andre was a great role model for his grandchildren, and will be very sadly missed.
“We would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and support following this tragedy, but would appreciate privacy and time to grieve our loss.”
Ravenhill will appear at Swansea Crown Court tomorrow. He was remanded in custody until that hearing.
