Two in court over al­leged as­sault out­side club

TWO men have ap­peared in court fol­low­ing an al­leged as­sault out­side a Llanelli night­club which left a man hos­pi­talised.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened out­side The Met Bar on Sta­tion Road just be­fore 1am on Sun­day morn­ing.

A male was taken to hospital with what are be­lieved to be serious in­juries, po­lice have said.

Yes­ter­day, Joseph Ed­mund Price, of Maes Y Dder­wen, Llan­gen­nch, and Stephen Kyle Price, 20, Nantwen, Llanelli, ap­peared at Llanelli Mag­is­trates Court jointly charged with un­law­fully and ma­li­ciously wound­ing a male with in­tent to cause gre­vi­ous bod­ily harm. Joseph Price, aged 24, also faced a charge of as­sault­ing an­other male caus­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm and they both also faced a charge of using threat­en­ing un­law­ful vi­o­lence to­wards other per­sons. A fourth charge of possess­ing a knuckle duster in Haver­ford­west on July 8 was also put to Joseph Price.

No pleas were en­tered by both de­fen­dants and the case will now go to Swansea Crown Court on Au­gust 9. Both were granted con­di­tional bail un­til that hear­ing.
